Health Watchers is an informal group that meets twice a month to walk, explore simple spiritual practices, and learn how to incorporate them into everyday living. Everyone is welcome, with the people attending varying from one gathering to the next. We gather around 10 a.m. (earlier in the summer) on the first and third Wednesdays of each month for about one hour depending on the participants pace. Most days are are outdoors, but on days with heavy rain or ice, alternative activities happen indoors. We have walked in the neighbourhood, watching the community grow, checked out the trail at Roger’s Reservoir and one of the trails in York Region forest, walked the labyrinth at the Trauma Centre, and spent time in both the Pioneer and Queensville Cemetery. Spiritual Practices have included finger labyrinths, guided meditations, journaling, Tai chi, and walking meditations. Come dressed for the weather of the day, bring water if you wish, and join us as often as you are able.
See our Event Calendar and Special Events page for future dates and details.
